The Qingming or Ching Ming festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day in English is a traditional Chinese festival observed by the Han Chinese.
It falls on the first day of the fifth solar term of the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar. This makes it the 15th day after the Spring Equinox, either 4 or 5 April in a given year.
From that date temperatures begin to rise and rainfall increases, the crucial time for plowing and sowing in the spring.
  What do we do?
  Tomb Sweeping
Qing Ming is a time to remember the dead and the dearly departed.
More important,it is a period to honour and to pay respect to one's deceased ancestors and family members.
  Spring Outing
Not only it is a day for commemorating the dead, is it also a festival for people to enjoy themselves.  In March or April, everything in nature takes on a new look, as trees turn   green, flowers blossom, and the sun shines brightly. Spring outings not only add joy to life but also promote a healthy body and mind.
  Flying Kites
What makes flying kites during this festival special is that people cut the string while the kite is in the sky to let it fly free. It is said that this brings good luck and that diseases can be eliminated by doing this.
  Planting Willow Trees 插柳
Because Jie Zitui died embracing a willow tree, the willow is believed to have miraculous powers against evil. During the Qingming Festival, willow branches are hung on door fronts and used to sweep the tombs.
  Swinging
During the Ming Dynasty, swinging was a designated recreation on Tomb Sweeping Festival. According to the Annals of the Ming Court, this day was also called Swing Festival,   when swings were suspended in the Hall of the Forbidden City and in all the residential complexes where palace ladies resided. Ladies of the imperial household wore colorful silks especially made for the occasion, and amused themselves on swings.
A drizzling rain falls like tears on the Mourning Day.
The mourner's heart is breaking on his way.
Where can a winehouse be found to drown his sadness?
A cowherd points to Almond Flower Village in the distance.
People around China commemorated deceased relatives and friends as theQingming Festival begins.
  But…this year…
At present, in order to fight against the virus, many angels in white are retrograde. Even some medical staff have sacrificed because of the treatment work.
  The dead medical staff,
We are deeply sorry for your loss,
  Please accept our condolences.
You will be deeply missed and will always be in our heart.
